Tan,

My understadning is that yes, everytime you run a "Full" backup you will indeed create a fresh VBK file :D

Tan,

Yes, that would create another VBK file and rename your old one using the following mask:
file12010-06-30T201340.vbk (where 2010-06-03 is the creation date and 201340 is the creation time).

Tan,

From memory it will rename the current VBK with the date and time added to the name and then put a new VBK file in place with the original name.

So if you had:

VM1.vbk and this was created on 1st May.

You then do a full backup on the 1st June. You would have a VM12010-05-01T115900.vbk and a fresh VM1.vbk.

Hope this helps :D

Anyone else, if this is wrong please correct me :D

Tan, you can simply move backup files to the new destination, and change destination in the job settings. There is no need to re-create a job.

Uh! I forgot to ask this. How can I schedule monthly backup such as First Friday every month?

Hello Tan, this feature is not in the product right now - you can schedule weekly fulls only. The upcoming v5 release will have monthly full backup option.
