Post by davidb1234 » Nov 01, 2012 4:44 pm

I noticed a new folder in one of my backup repositories called VeeamConfigBackup and it has some .bco files in it. What is this? Seems to have been created some point after I ugpraded to 6.5

It's a new feature where Veeam automatically creates backups of it's own configuration to allow for easy restore in the event that the Veeam server is lost. You can simply reinstall a new Veeam server, point it at the new repository, and restore the previous server configuration. The options for controlling this setting are available in the main pulldown menu under the "Configuration Backup" option.

You may want to read What's New in 6.5 to learn more about this and other new features.
