Where to Put VB&R on a two DC

Post by tochi »

Hi,

I have a production site and a passive site for DR. should I put my B&R on DR site? so that I can still orchestrate the DR Failover if the whole production site goes down? then I'll have my primary backup repository (proxy) on production site just for backup and restore function. DR's function is solely for VM replicas, Disaster Scenario and second copy of backup files.

Regards,
Renen

Hi Renen

Yes, the remote site is recommended in that case.

Keep in mind to have a veeam console on the primary site on a management host to optimize the restore flow
for FLR and application items. Especially if you don‘t have a fast connection between both datacenter.

Thanks
