Which ports will used by Veeam

when we restoring the VM guest from Veeam 5.0 on ESX host, which port will used by Veeam and ESX host?
does it VMotion or Management Console? and which one is best practise to restore machine using IP or DNS name in Virtual world?

I do believe that all of information regarding Used Ports can be found in the corresponding User Guide (VB&R 5, p.30).

If you don’t happen to have it, please, let me know and I’ll provide you a link.

Just out of curiosity – what is the reason for using so out-dated product version?

Hi,

recently when we try to restore a VM it completely take down our network.
if it possible could you please provide link to documentation.

The restore is always performed via network stack, unless you have a virtual backup proxy server to use HotAdd mode for restoring VMs back to production storage.
