Hello everybody,
we are going to study the possibility to change the backup software in my company to VBR 8.
Actualy we run Acronis BFV, and the storage is Fujitsu Eternus CS800.
We are sure that this software is really a good joke. It was functional but actualy there is no more support, no more evolution in the features ...
So it's time to change.
The volume of the backups are actually stored on a 8TB CS800 (incl dedup hardware + software) and the protocol used is CIFS (some VMs do some backups to the CS800 in NFS directly (dumps Oracle)).
All the infrastructure is virtualized actually on vSphere 5.5.
I see some post where the users say that they use simply a fat server with Windows Server 2012 installed and dedup enable on the share.
Some others use special storage as Fujitsu CS800.
For you what's the best solution and which storage do you recommend ?
Thx
