Having realized that a proxy and "his" VM needs to be on the same cluster to use hotadd, i'm about to deploy a few dedicated "empty shell" vm to serve as proxy.
If i make a virtual proxy with 4 vCpus, will it concurrently run 2 jobs with hotadd mode ?
At the time where my jobs run, server activity is low so ic an afford to allocate more vCpus than i physically have.

Re: Will a proxy capable of hotadd mode "handle" several job
Florian, actually the number of backup tasks assigned to the proxy server does not depend on the transport mode but rather controlled by the corresponding setting in the proxy server settings. It is set to two tasks by default and given the resources are sufficient, 4 vCPUs is ok to run two concurrent tasks, per our recommendations.
