Will replication interfere with backup job?

I'd like to setup a continuous replication job on a critical VM for very small RPO but I'd also like to back it up nightly for longer term retention. If I have a continuous replication job and a backup job targeting this VM, will there be problems with overlap where one job or the other will fail? Thanks.

Assuming that both jobs will be created on the same backup server, this VM will stand in a queue of the replication job. Once your backup job is complete, the replication job will start/resume processing the selected VM. Thanks!

Does nightly state of the VM have the same importance as a daily one? What I mean is that you can probably specify backup window for the replication job, so that, it won't run during night, when the backup job takes place. Thanks.
