Hi,
I've come across some forum articles where, for Veeam to be capable to restore windows 2012 guest dedup volume items, all needed seems to be windows 2012 with Veeam with dedup feature/role installed.
Well, I had a windows 2008r2 with veeam 8 as main backup server. I have upgraded veeam to 9, SP1, then upgraded OS to 2012 R2 & added dedup on it. My other guests are win 2012 (not R2) and always, for any of them, dedupe volume / strorage space is not present in FLR.
Do the proxy matter? those are 2012 without dedup.
vbk repository is a separate linux box.
Am I doing something wrong? I do not think I have been missing anything in the whole process... but still no go so far.
Thank you,
Daniel.

Re: Windows 2012 guest dedup FLR
Daniel, please check what mount server is specified for the repository, since this is the one that should have Deduplication enabled. You can specify the backup server as the mount server.
