Windows 2012 R2 Deduplication Mode
Did anyone test data deduplication modes on Windows 2012 R2? There's a setting for General Purpose file server and VDI server. Just wondering if anyone was getting better ratios with either one.

Am I right assuming that your question is not related to Veeam B&R?

It does not matter - this is a good question, because this setting will particularly impact how well Veeam backup files are deduplicated.

I've been using it in General File Server mode.
I'm starting to think it's breaking my backup jobs though, so I may need to schedule it outside of my backups to see if it's locking my backup files.

Sorry, yes in relation to Veeam B&R. Since we're backing up VM's, I'm wondering if the VDI setting matters.
