Hi,
Since Microsoft fixed ReFS, it becames a no brainer to use it for repository. All my last deployement or upgrade relies on them but ... Some customers have already long period backup chain stored on NTFS, move them a ReFS doesn't improve storage footprint unless the rotation.
Would it be reasonnable to think about having a fonctionnality added to Veeam that would re-hydrate an existing backup chain to become ReFS friendly ?
I am sure I am not the first to think about it
Regards,
Oli

Re: Wishlist : convert NTFS backup chain to ReFS
Yes, this is already on the roadmap. Certainly a much needed feature. Thanks!

Great news Gostev !
While you are busy, making Veeam more ReFS about real physical space left would be a must too
Can't wait to hear the annoucement in your weekly letter.
