WooHoo - I feel the need, the need for speed!

Post by jgremillion »

Monday, I finished changing all of my Veeam Backup jobs from reversed incremental to forward incremental. Enterprise Manager shows my stats as follows:

24 Hour:
Processing Speed: 1 GB/s
Source VM Size: 30.9 TB

7 Day Stats:
Processing Speed: 1013 MB/s
Source VM Size: 30.9 TB

When I was using reverse incrementals my average 24 stats were only a measly 600 - 700 mb/s. :)

WooHoo .... Once again, Veeam's saved my bacon!

Stay thirsty my friends.

Yes, incremental backup performance is not the strongest part of reversed incremental backup mode :)

Never trust stats which you haven't manipulated yourself.
