Alerting vCenter Site Recovery Manager

Post by PetervdnBosch » Jul 16, 2009 7:35 am

VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager can send alerts on a lot of issues. (Mail, Trap or Script)
Is it possiblle to send these alerts to SCOM?
Met vriendelijke groet, kind regards, сердечные приветы.

Hi Peter,

Currently there is no monitoring of SRM in the nworks MP - although we will be including monitoring features for this, and other vSphere aspects, in future MP updates very soon......

"Watch this space"!

For the moment - if there is a vCenter API event thrown for any SRM interaction, then we would capture that with the nworks Collector and you could build a new Rule to monitor it.
And you could monitor such items as SRM SNMP traps using the native SCOM SNMP features - but again you would have to build that manually yourself for the moment....

Regards
Alec

Any update on where this feature is in the roadmap? Expected release date maybe?
