backup & replication in scom

i would like to see veeam backup jobs in the scom console
I don't have the Managment pack
is there a way to apply such a solution?

In order to monitor Veeam Backup & Replication you need to have our management pack installed. See this link for further reading and the download > http://www.veeam.com/vmware-microsoft-e ... oring.html

BTW, are you running VMware or Hyper-V hosts in your infrastructure?

I am using hyper-v
veeam one with scom agents give me a full diagnostic view
i only want to check for backup errors

If you want to monitor backup errors, then you may want to create your own alerts based on the Veeam B&R Windows Event log. See this KB link for descriptions of all possible backup events > http://www.veeam.com/kb1834

On a side note, we also have a free MP for backup that provides basic monitoring for your jobs. Currently this is VMware only, but we are planning to make it available for Hyper-V very shortly. The release is just around the corner.
