Can group for managing VIC be domain based?

Machine local group nworks management Center Accounts is created on the host with NMC.
Can the application be reconfigured to use a domain based group instead?
Can a domain based group be nested to this local group to grant access to the admins and service accounts of the Virtual Infrastructur collectors?

The application relies on our local groups. Thus, a domain based group can be nested into our local group for access.
