Is there an easy way to create a dynamic group in SCOM for all VM's or VM's in a certain cluster? I've seen alternate methods where you create a new attribute that searches for the presence of VMTools in the registry. I would rather use a method that may already be available to me via the Veeam MP.
Thanks.

Re: Create Dynamic Group in SCOM
Hi anotherITguy,
In SCOM it's super easy to create such groups. You just got to Create a new group wizard and then to "Dynamic Members > Create/Edit Rules", then select "VMware Virtual Machine" as a class, click "Add" and then add a condition for "Cluster Name" property "Contains" (it could be also "Equals" or "Matches a wildcard") and then add a name of the desired cluster.
With respect a group for all VMs - we've already created it - it's called "VMware Virtual Machine Group".
Feel free to ask any other questions about SCOM and about our MPs.
