Esx 2.5 support

Post by Christopher Keyaert »

Hi everyone,

I'm using the nworks 5.6 mp in my environment composed of 148 ESX servers, and I'm quite happy of it.
I recently found that we have still 3 ESX 2.5 that we cannot migrate for the moment. The nworks 5.6 release notes indicates that the only supported versions of ESX are 3.5, 4.0 and 4.1

What can I do for my old ESX 2.5 ?

Thank you

Bests Regards
Christopher

Hi Christofer, I am guessing you cannot do much with these, because this version did not yet have monitoring APIs available...

Hi Christopher,

Actually, nworks DOES support ESX 2.5 servers - as long as they are connected to a vCenter server. When nworks is also connected to vCenter, then we can gather the data for those ESX 2.5 servers as well as ESX 3.x and 4.x.

Cheers,
Alec
