ESXTOP
I had an idea to create a custom dashboard using this ESXTOP troubleshooting, http://www.running-system.com/wp-conten ... sh_v11.pdf, overview as reference. Thinking the hardest part will be locating the corresponding SCOM metric for the ESXTOP equivalent. Has anyone looked at this before?

Re: ESXTOP
Hi Craig,
we don't have a mapping guide for those ESXTOP metrics, but we do collect all the critical ones. For example, CPU Ready is captured as a percentage in our cpuReadyPct metric.
you can see the full list of metrics available in our Help Center Reference http://helpcenter.veeam.com/mp/80/vmware_reference/
note that some more ''obscure'' metrics such as CPU Wait would require importing the High-Granularity MP http://helpcenter.veeam.com/mp/80/resource_kit/ - this is part of the MP Resource Kit (ships on the MP v8 ISO)
And some of the really obscure metrics (such as NUMA location) are not published in the vCenter API, so we don't collect those (although for Hyper-V we do have some NUMA alerts. I don't suggest you switch hypervisors just to get that though )
I'd be interested to see any dashboards you build! Who knows, they might end up in the future version of Veeam MP. Then that would be TWO whiskies I would owe you
Cheers
Alec
