Exceeding License count

Post by aperson »

Version: 5.x
nworks for Microsoft MOM/SCOM - Full License
5.6.0.696

I have added a temporary 4 socket host to our Connected Servers list within the EM. The host is only licensed for 2 sockets, but I recieved the following error:

License exceeded for 2 sockets

Does this host get monitored at all ( 2 sockets) or is really excluded completely?

Thanks

Hello, you need to license all 4 sockets for this host in order to monitor it. Thanks!

Yes, but what if I don't is there a way to confirm if it is or is not? Its currently checked for monitoring..

Perhaps SCOM will tell me?

Yes, the best way would be to check it with SCOM console, but as far as I know this host shouldn't be monitored.
