Find out how many objects are being monitored by collector
Hello,
I see that with the new upgarde 5.5 we now get alerts on the no. of objects being monitored by that collector. But this only sends out an alert when it goes above the 5k limit.
We have three collectors, and we are getting the alerts from on one of the collectors, that the objects being monitored are 7k.
Is there any way, that I can find out how many objects are being monitored by the other two collectors? We are using scom sp1.
Thanks
Sameer

Re: Find out how many objects are being monitored by collect
Hi Sameer,
For the current release you can use the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VeeaM\EnterpriseManager\CollectorsObjectCount
on the machine where the nworks Enterprise Manager service is running.
The "data" field, decimal, shows you the actual number of monitored objects per each collector.
Next release this information will be also available in the UI.
Hope, this helps,
Irina
P.S. 7K objects is a big overload! We kindly suggest you to install additional collector.

Thanks Irina.
We upgraded from the version 5.0.3 to 5.5. And it was an inplace upgrade.
I don't see the regkey you are mentioning above.
I see HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\nworks ..

Hi Sameer,
please confirm that you check on the machine where the Enterprise Management service (EMS) is running (not VEM).

Yes, I can see the count on the management server.
