Not Accurate Alerts!
Hello,
We are receiving some alerts which are not accurate. - Alert: nworks VMware: ESX Host Available Memory has dropped below threshold
We checked the hosts and they are fine. The alert has a description that 0% Available memory which is not acurate.
We are getting the alert from all the hosts and we checked the esx hosts, but there is enough memory on all of them.
Is this a know bug? Any resolution to this? I read Cameron Fullers Blog where he faced the same issue and the resolution is to disable this alert. Wouldn't we lose the capability of alerting us if the memory goes down, incase we disable this alert?
Thanks
Sameer

Re: Not Accurate Alerts!
Hi Sameer,
This is a known issue, where an unstable connection to Virtual Center can cause some metrics to be delivered as zero....Are you also getting alerts regarding the nworks connection to Virtual Center?
What version of the MP are you running? We have put workarounds in place in nworks 5.5 to address this issue.
Cheers,
Alec

Re: Not Accurate Alerts!
Thanks.
We are using the version 5.3
Is there a workaround for this version? I would not want to move to 5.5 as its still RC3.
Thanks

Re: Not Accurate Alerts!
Hi Sameer,
No workaround in 5.0.3 unfortunately - upgrade to 5.5 is needed to fix this.
However 5.5 will release *very* soon....if you watch veeam.com, I reckon you will see an announcement sometime this week
Thanks!
Alec
