I am very happy to present you our beta build of the Veeam Management Pack v8 for System Center. We hope you will enjoy it and test it out intensively in your test environments. We added a significant amount of new features and improvements and provided new support for new technologies. All feedback is very welcome and we are looking forward to it!

What’s new – for VMware
•vSphere 6.0 support
•Host Hardware monitoring with vCenter Server hardware Alarms
•New vCenter Alarms for various key services such as Postgres Db, Host Certificate management, Profile-driven Storage service and more
•VMware Virtual HBA support

What’s new – for Hyper-V
•Experimental Support for Hyper-V vNext (Technical Preview 2 tested)
•SMB Storage support
•New Hyper-V CPU dispatch wait time monitor
•Veeam Task Manager for Hyper-V dashboard now available as a VMM plug-in, for realtime Hyper-V metrics in the VMM console

What’s new – for both hypervisors
•Experimental Support for Windows Server vNext and Ops Mgr vNext (Technical Preview 2 tested)
•New Infrastructure Summary report for high-level view of virtual environment, VM density, storage over-provisioning and more
•New & updated reports such as Right-sizing and Snapshot tracking
•Improved scalability to monitor larger environments at higher VM-densities
•Improved & new heatmap widgets and analysis dashboards
•Built-in Ops Mgr agent proxy settings monitored for Hyper-V servers and Veeam Collectors

Important notes
•Only English (US) Windows OS is fully QA tested for Veeam components. However Veeam will support customers using any other-language OS, to reproduce problems and establish if root cause is a language-related issue.
•Installation of the Veeam MP Extensions Service on a Domain Controller is not supported.
•Safe mode is not supported for Veeam MP services operation.

System Requirements
See the Release notes for the system requirements, included in the download.

Known Issues
Below are the known issues. All of them are described with more detail (and possible workarounds) in the release notes.
General
•Drill-down option does not work in Capacity Planning for Azure Cloud report when the number of VMs is over 200 (SQL Server 2012 SP1 known limitation)
•Importing the Veeam MPs in the System Center Service Manager console through the GUI might fail with an error concerning dependencies (workaround by using the PowerShell cmdlets, see the release notes)
•Non-default collation settings for SQL cause Data Warehouse errors after import of Veeam MP. (This configuration is unsupported by Microsoft for the OpsMgr Data Warehouse DB.)

All specific known issues per technology (VMware or Hyper-V) are described and listed in the release notes.

Just wanted to inquire about how the beta for Veeam v8 mp is coming along and if there is some idea when it might be ready for GA? Thanks!
