if you know the answers by chance.
Thank you all in advance for your help time and consideration.
Consolidate alerts, events, performance and status into a single SCOM console:
• 92 ESX (184 sockets)
• 15% yearly growth
Provide the following metrics and key performance indicators:
Host CPU
• Usage (%) CPU used over the collection interval
• Used (ms) CPU used over the collection interval
• Swap wait time (ms) CPU time spent waiting for host-level swap-in
Provide the following metrics and key performance indicators:
Host Memory
• Memory Used (%)
• Memory Pressure
• Swap in rate Rate at which memory is swapped in from disk.
• Swap out rate Rate at which at memory is swapped out to disk
• Swapped Total amount of memory that has been swapped out or in.
• Swap in (cumulative) Total amount of memory that has been swapped in.
• Swap out (cumulative) Total amount of memory that has been swapped out.
Provide the following metrics and key
Host Other
• Host sensors
• NTP Status
performance indicators:
• Host Connection status
Provide the following metrics and key performance indicators:
VMs
• Usage (%) CPU used over the collection interval (%).
• Usage (MHz) CPU used over the collection interval (MHz).
• Ready (ms) CPU time spent in the ready state
Provide the following metrics and key performance indicators:
Datastore
• Commands Commands issued in the sampling interval
• Read Rate KBs of data read
• Write Rate KBs of data written
• Device Latency Average latency at device
• Kernel Latency Average latency in vmkernel
• Command Latency Total latency for command
• Free space %
• Multipath Status
• VM count
Provide the following metrics and key performance indicators:
Network
• Packets transmitted(in sampling interval)
• Packets received (in sampling interval)
• Data transmit rate(KBps) Amount of data transmitted per second
• Data receive rate (KBps) Amount of data received per second
• NIC status
Other features:
Scalability
• Load balancing
• Fault Tolerance
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN !

Re: Veeam nWorks compatibility
Hello Khan,
That list is pretty much a summary of nworks features
So I am sure we can meet all those requirements.
I'll be responding to your email directly.
Thanks!
Alec

Hi,
Which nWorks Monitor or Rule would detect/report on the status of an ESX's NTP service?
Cheers

Re: Veeam nWorks compatibility
Hi Simon,
we have a Rule 'nworks vCenter: NTP daemon stopped'. This feeds through NTP status from the Host via vCenter, and raises a Warning alert.
Hope that answers your question!
Cheers

Re: Veeam nWorks compatibility
Thanks for the prompt response.
Is that new in nWorks 5.7? I can't see it in the 5.6 management pack, nor see it refereed to in the 5.7 release notes?

Re: Veeam nWorks compatibility
To answer my own question, looks like the "nworks vCenter: NTP daemon stopped" rule became available in 5.7

Hi Simon,
Correct, this Rule is new in 5.7.
I'll double-check which versions of vCenter it supports.
Thanks!

Re: Veeam nWorks compatibility
Hey Guys,
I can't find anything referencing NTP in our new CHM. Is this still valid?

Hi
Yes, we still capture this event, but in v6 it's being done by a generic rule "Veeam VMware: vSphere Host Warning"
Thanks.
