Hello,
I am getting tons of alerts on VM Balloon Memory Usage has exceeded threshold.
So I checked the overrides available items:
NumSamples 2 i could increase it to 5 even 10 to delay the alert
but I would like to know the values threshold1 (50,000) and threshold2 (100,000) what is the unit?
50% 100%?
50,000 100,000 KB ?
50,000 100,000 MB ?
???
As this question might appear for several rules/monitors do you have a document about the description of the parameter and the value units?
Thanks,
Dom

Re: VM Balloon Memory Usage has exceeded threshold
Hi Don,
threshold values for the VM Memory Ballooning (memoryCtl metric) are in KB.
More detailed information about the performance metrics and their units you can find here:
http://www.veeam.com/support/metrics/dictionary.html
Monitors descriptions you can find in the nworks_mp_for_scom_5.6_rules_monitors.pdf:
http://www.veeam.com/files/mp_scom_reference.zip
Hope this helps,
Irina
