Hi Everyone
We have several customers in different cities, and currently, to control the backup system, we need to connect directly to their servers and monitor them.
I want to have all these servers in Veeam ONE so that I don’t have to connect to them one by one.
I have installed Veeam ONE on our server, and now I want to add the customer servers to it.
What is needed for this?
None of the servers have a public IP, they are NATed and there is no VPN between us.
Does just opening the port on the firewall suffice?
Best Regards

Re: Adding remote servers to veeam ONE
Hello Kavosh,
Depending of the type of servers you will want to add: Veeam Backup & Replication, vSphere, Hyper-V, etc. There are different ports that require to be opened:
* https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/one/d ... ml?ver=120
In future releases we expect to have a more friendly agent-based monitoring, but for now, Veeam ONE requires access to those ports, on your remote components. One strong suggestion is to avoid opening ports to the Internet, it is always more secure to have VPN between the sites.
If that is not an option, make sure that the firewall rules are strict enough to only allow certain public IPs like your VeeamONE public IP, etc.
Thank you

Re: Adding remote servers to veeam ONE
Hello Jorge
Unfortunately, it may not be possible to have a VPN for each client, otherwise we have to open the ports.
I just want to be able to monitor other clients from our own server with Veeam One Client and Veeam ONE Web Client.
So, is it enough to just open the following ports?
135,445
1239, 2741
2805
And also should Dynamic RPC be set?
Thank You

Re: Adding remote servers to veeam ONE
Hello Kavosh,
Those ports are the primary one yes, give them a try before you open the dynamic ones. We use the dynamic ports for data collection so I am expecting some troubles while collecting.
Please let us know after you try it, but as said before, exposing ports (any port) to the Internet directly requires always consideration.
