Alarm Alert Repeat (notification on e-mail)
Hi, all!
I'm testing VeeamOne 9.5.
Nowhere can I find how to configure the resending of messages to e-mail, if the problem is not closed.
In general, there is such a functional?
Notification policy: Mission Critical.
Sorry, for my English (google-translate)

Hello Johnny and welcome to the community!
There is no such a general option because it makes sense not for all alarms.
Could you give examples of alarms you want the feature to be implemented for?
Thanks!

Hello!
For example, in the event of an alarm, the end free space on the disk is reported.
If the administrator has ignored (not seen, lost among emails) the alarm, the place ends and the service stops, but if the alarm were to arrive once a day with a warning and once per hour on error, it's hard not to notice.
For example, in Zabbix I set up an alert at 10% once a day, at 3% once an hour.

Got it. That`s a good feature request, we will consider implementing it.
Often users schedule Alarms Current State Overview to track all active alarms.
As for that particular alarm, you can set Warning for 10% and Error for 3% so you receive second alert if disk will keep growing.
Thanks!

Thank you, Nikita!
I hope you implement this functionality in the next versions. In the meantime, I will use Zabbix for these notifications.
And I will continue to test VeeamONE 9.5. Maybe I'll find something to improve

Has this feature been implemented yet? I would like it for the same reasons.

Hi bg.ranken,
Not yet, but we are still considering it as a feature request for future versions.

Hi Randall,
By the way, you may configure periodic Summary notifications or schedule alarm reports to see what alarms are actual and require some actions from your teams. This is a bit more elegant solution because it does not cause an excessive alarm noise we've been receiving feedback on.
Thanks

Re: Alarm Alert Repeat (notification on e-mail)
Hi wishr,
Unfortunately this is not what we need. In cases where disk free space might be under 50mb, or some other critical case, we'd like to get alerted multiple times, rather than a single alert that goes out and it being missed. And we'd want to do it on a per-alarm basis as some we might want to send as frequent as every 15 minutes while others we might only want to be sent every day, and some we might want once every 7 days.
While I understand reducing excessive alarm noise, I don't see how an option to add a reoccurring send of an alarm would have anything to do with that. As long as they are not on by default and can be implemented as needed it should be fine.

Re: Alarm Alert Repeat (notification on e-mail)
Hello,
Thanks for clarifying. It makes sense.
Could you please explain in detail how are planning to handle re-occurring alarms? What's the difference in alarm handling in comparison with the current behavior. Additionally, if you could add a few words on why Alarms Summary emails would not work for you, that would be very helpful.
