Alarm exclude based on time profile
Guys,
How do i set an exclusion time on veeam one alarms
For example - We know our backups run between 01:30-04:00
Can we exclude alarms during that time?

Hi Ben,
You can use these settings to suppress all required alarms > Configure Alarm Suppression Settings
Thanks!

Hi Vitaliy,
I set this up to exclude during Veeam Backup Activity yet still got alarms during backups last night.
Any reason why this is happening?

Hi Ben,
Have you set the time-based suppression or option suppress during backup job activity?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.
What is the alarm and where does it assigned?
In a case of backup activity-based suppression, VeeamONE receives events of start and finish of backup activity from VBR server with indication of objects involved in the activity. The suppression may not work if the backup activity happens on different objects from where the alarm assigned.
By the way, what kind of activity is that in your case, backup job?

Re: Alarm exclude based on time profile
The alarms are:
VM Total disk latency
Host Disk Read & Write Latency
Datastore Read & Write Latency
They are all assigned to Virtual Interface.
Yes we want these to be excluded when our backups from Veeam B&R run.

Re: Alarm exclude based on time profile
Looks like an unexpected behavior.
When backup job starts VBR sends the event to VeeamONE pointing which objects(VMs) are in the job. All parent objects of those VMs such as hosts, clusters should be suppressed as well.
So, I would contact Veeam technical support to investigate logs and checke the events. Thanks!
