Hi ,
We have a 6-socket VAS license for monitoring and backup our currently 3 ESXi hosts >
We will add 1 more ESXi host to our cluster for testing and demo lab , only monitoring (Veeam ONE) needed for this new host.
we are planing to buy 2 more cpu sockets of Veeam ONE and combine these 2 sockets with 6 sockets VAS license.
Anyone do that successfully ?

Hello,
that kind of merge will fail.

I recommend contacting your Veeam partner to find a good option for you.
Best regards,

If you have 3 hosts... are you maybe running on Veeam Backup Essentials? Because for the next two sockets, you need the "real" VAS.NOTE! Licenses can be merged only when they have the same:
Account Name
Product Name and Edition
Product Version
Licensing Terms
License Administrator
They must all be Active on Support.
I recommend contacting your Veeam partner to find a good option for you.
Best regards,
Hannes

If you have a VAS key (not Essentials), then it might be possible to split VAS into two contracts (Veeam B&R and Veeam ONE standalone), please verify it with the Veeam sales rep first. If they can do it, then you can merge your Veeam ONE license keys. This will allow you to achieve what you want, but this might affect the pricing for the support contact since now you have two standalone products.
