Creation date "not defined"
Hi,
I generated the report "Protected VMs" and the unprotected VMs part of this report shows me virtual machines that are actually backed up every night. The thing is they are seen as "not defined" when it comes to the creation date value.
1°) could this be the reason why they're seen as unprotected ?
2°) how can I change this "not defined" status ?
Thank you !
Eric
P.S: I'm using Veeam One v7.0.0.949

Re: Creation date "not defined"
Hi Eric,
Can you please confirm that you have added vCenter Server/ESXi hosts in the same way to both Veeam ONE and Veeam backup console? In other words, if you have added vCenter Server to the backup console, and only added standalone hosts to Veeam ONE console, then matching of protection status will not be performed.
Also, is there any reason not to upgrade to Veeam ONE v8, cause I see that you're still running v7?
Thanks!

Re: Creation date "not defined"
Hi Vitaliy,
Thanks for your quick response.
In both case, I added the vCenter server.
I manage Veeam products for a lot of clients. Agreement from them to upgrade from a version to another is sometimes a long process
For now, I have to stick with the v7.
Is "creation date" about the creation of the VM ?
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Creation date "not defined"
In this case, please open a support case with our technical team, since VMs should be matched properly. Once you do this, please let us know your case ID.
Yes, but if Veeam ONE was installed after you've created the VM it will not defined.EBoucq wrote:Is "creation date" about the creation of the VM ?

Re: Creation date "not defined"
I have to disagree on your last statement: I installed Veeam one years after Veeam B&R and most of my VMs shows up in Veeam Reporter with a creation date.
On 230 VMs, only about a dozen doesn't have the info. Some machines have been created before Veeam One was installed and a few after.
Eric.

Then this is definitely a good point to raise when opening a support case
