Custom Alarm not working
Hi, im trying to setup a custom alarm to flag up when some events get logged in the System event log. The alerting doesn't seem to work at it suggests it should. When I put the Event ID and name into a new alarm nothing gets flagged up nor does it pick up anything when I use the backtesting facility.
I have tried all permutations of information in the "Event Name" field to no success.
Interestingly if i duplicate an existing alert (which I know works). These show the Event Name in the format event id event name i.e 20100 Microsoft-Windows-Hyper-V-VMMS. If I copy this line into my new alarm it works and the backtesting shows alarms, but then if i edit the line but retain the exact format to flag up a different alert which I know is definitely in there such as 44 WindowsUpdateClient then again it picks up absolutely nothing.
I cant get my head around it and everything is telling me it should work but its not.
I am using Veeam One 10.0.2.1094
Wondering if anyone has any ideas?
Thanks
Adam

Hi Adam,
No ideas yet. May I ask you to raise a support case on this topic so that our engineers could collect all the information about the issue?
Thanks

Re: Custom Alarm not working
Hi, my issue is now resolved. It seems that the event that I was wanting to create the alarm for wasnt being picked up be Veeam One. Support created me a custom SQL query to run against the Veeam One database to add the event id to the list of monitored events. I assumed that Veeam One scanned for every event in the event logs but it seems thats not the case. My issue is now solved though! Case ID is
