Dear
Can any one explain me if there is a difference between
how the percentage of memory usage of the host and its resources/WMs are been calculated?
There are 3 VMs that have in total 14 GB RAM:
So 1,47 GB memory active / 14 GB configured memory = 10,5 %
So this looks ok.
The host has 18 GB RAM
1,49 GB / 18 GB = 74,30 % ???
What am I interpreting wrong?
Thx for advise.
Tom

Re: Difference between "memory usage" host + VMs
Hi Tom,
Host memory usage is calculated based on the consumed memory by VMs plus memory consumed by ESXi host itself, while the same counter for resources shows average memory usage across all VMs belonging to these resource pools.
Thanks!

Yes, I agree with you, that is why we will adjust these metrics in the next updates.
