Re: email alert
Hi,
1. It`s in the settings of VO Monitor
2. You can create a new event-based rule to be triggered when new virtual machine is created.

Re: email alert
1. Alternatively, you can specify email settings in the alarm configuration.
2. In order to do what Nikita suggested, please create a VM, then navigate to Events&Tasks tab in Monitor Client, right-click on this event and choose to create new alarm based on this event.

Thanks Adrian!
To complete the topic, for vSphere, you go to Tasks&Events, and right-click on "Finished: Create a new virtual machine" event to create an alarm.
