False snapshot alert

Hi

A few days ago, Veeam One 8 issued a warning for a VM snapshot that was older then 48 hours. I removed the snapshot, and for all I can tell this removal was successful. But Veeam One keeps on insisting that the snapshot is there, and it pops up after I resolve the alarm. Veeam One Reporter cannot find any snapshots, vCenter cannot find any snapshots, I cannot see any snapshot files on the data store. How can I get rid of this alarm without excluding it?

Hi Koen,

Yes, our QC team has confirmed that in some cases snapshot records are not removed form the database, so we have created a fix for this. Once our QC team validates the fix, we will distribute it to our support team, so please open a case to be notified about hotfix availability.

You can get a fix if you're using free version of Veeam ONE as well, but it should be done via technical support. Please be aware, that we do provide support for customers using free version of the products.

Same issue here, installed the patch from Veeam, and now getting an error saying "Unable to process request because database is disconnected".

Still waiting to hear back from Veeam...Ticket # 00724570

We need to see more information from the debug logs to find a solution for this. Did you attach them to your ticket?

I`m having this issue with Veeam One 8.0.0.1569 and ESXi 5.1.0 (1612806) cluster. I can`t get rid of the "Latest snapshot age" alert while the snapshot is already comitted.

This might mean the problem is not related to just ESXi5.5

PS: did not see this issue with v7, form which i did an upgrade

Can you run Orphaned VM snapshot report to confirm there are no snapshots hidden from the snapshot manager?
