Hi! I am new here at the Veeam Forums. Everything looks nice and working! Well done!
I am not sure if this post it is a request for a new feature or technical question… I think that maybe both…
I’m working on the following scenario:
- VMware vCloud Director
- Veeam Backup n Replication (for VCD)
- Veeam One
I had trying to get two reports, using the vCloud users (our tenants):
-Backup File Size.
-Protected VM and Last Job Status.
Working with the Veeam One documentation I found the following:
vCloud user are considered as “Restricted Users”.
“Users with restricted permissions on the virtual infrastructure inventory have limited access to Veeam ONE functionality. “
And the Reports at Backup’n’Replication level, for Users with Restricted Permissions are:
Protected VMs, Protected VMs Job Schedule, VM Backup Compliance Overview, VM Backup Status, VM Change Rate History, VMs with no Archive Copy.
So, I can’t get a report that show to vCloud users how much storage their backups are consuming.
At the end, I have two requests:
1- There is a way to get this report?
2- Can Veeam offers this on short time?
Thanks a lot!

Re: Feature Request
Hi,
Welcome to Veeam community forums!
Restricted access means that users can only see their VMs in the reporting scope of any report. If you want to get the backup file size for each job assigned to a vCD user, just log in with Veeam ONE admin/regular user account and generate the report.
Hope this helps!

Re: Feature Request
Hi Vitaliy! and thanks for your answer.
Ok I understand what you say using a regular user, but, I need that the user who logins and gets the report will be a vCloud Director user... and as far I see this can't be done...
Please, let me know if I'm wrong.
Thanks again!

Re: Feature Request
Yes, that's correct. It is not possible right now, as each backup job might have data from different users, that's why these reports are not available for the logged-in tenants. How do you group backup jobs for your vCD users? Does each user have his own job or they might be sharing the same backup job?
