Host Disk failure not giving alarms

Post by suprimo »

Good afternoon all,

I'm testing Veeam ONE 9.0 to monitor 5 hosts using VMWARE. One of the hosts is a HPE DL380 G9 with 6 HDs mounted in a RAID5 5+1spare. On friday, one of the disks failed, well, it first went into a PRE-failure state and one day after it went on failure state. Anyway, the thing is that Veeam didnt give me any alarm, in fact is not giving me any alarm right now with the default alarm configuration...

Am I doing anything wrong?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Can you please tell us the state of host hardware alarm in Alarms Management tab? Is this alarm enabled and assigned to the virtual infrastructure?

Thanks!

Ok, can you please now navigate to Alarms tab and enable all resolved alarms? Do you see the host hardware failure alarm in the list?

Hmm... that's strange. Can you please contact our support team and let them investigate why alarm hasn't been triggered? Once you open a case, please post back your ID (for the reference).
