How to reduce VeaamONE spam
Hi!
How to avoid huge amount of mail Veeam One is sending?
Using rules' time period for this seems to be ineffective, if the VM status keeps changing, for example VM Total disk latency
warning: 9:32
error: 9:35
warning: 9:36
error: 9:38
warning: 9:39
error: 9:41
warning: 9:42
...and so on
For a single VM I get a tons of messages, if couple of VMs are acting up at the same time, I'll just delete all the mails sent by VeeamOne...

Hello,
Have you considered adapting the threshold for this alarm that fits your infrastructure? In this case you should not be receiving alarms that frequently. Also what is the activity that causes these spikes?
Thank you!

Re: How to reduce VeaamONE spam
My point here is, that the alarm should be sent only after 15mins of high latency has occurred and after that reset counter. Now I keep getting mails almost every minute.

Re: How to reduce VeaamONE spam
The alarm checks the average value for the past 15 minutes and if the average is about the threshold, then it sends the alert. If you select the Min option (not the Average) in the alarm setting then the alarm will only send the notification if the performance counter has always been above the defined threshold within the selected time period. Hope it helps!

Re: How to reduce VeaamONE spam
Is there an option to reset the 15min average counter after the alarm has been sent?

Alarm is triggered on the state change. If you change the average to Min, then it should solve your problem, as the time interval will be reset as soon as the alarm changes its state.
