In-place upgrade Veeam ONE 6.5 to 7

Hello,

I am new here and this my first post. I am looking for documents on upgrading Veeam ONE 6.5 to 7.

Our current version is 6.5.0.676 (Licensed). hypervisor is VMware,vCenter version is 5.1. Veeam ONE is installed on WS 2008 R2 and using SQL express as database.

I have few questions in regards to upgrading Veeam ONE 6.5 to 7.

Upgrade from ver 6.5 7 - am I correct in thinking that, it can be upgraded in-place ? i.e. running ver 7 installer on current 6.5 installation ? Is it supported ?

Do I need to backup the custom reports ? database etc ? any gotchas ?

Thanks
IMS

Hello,

1. Yes, it is an in-place upgrade.
2. Yes, it is supported.
3. Yes, please backup your existing database prior doing the upgrade. Please take a look at the upgrade procedure and known issues that are covered in the Release Notes document.

Thank you!
