Install Veeam One on Nutanix Mine with Veeam cluster

Post by hlapesu »

Is it possible to install and use Veeam One (monitor and reports) on Nutanix mine with Veeam cluster, and if so what is the best practice? Do I install Veeam One on the cluster or must I have a stand alone server for Veeam One?

Hi Peter,

Our QC team has not verified installing VONE on Nutanix mine. Generally speaking, any Windows VMs and physical Windows servers should be fine to host VONE components.

I would also recommend thinking about it from a risk perspective. For example, what are the risks if you have VONE running inside of a VM and then the host dies? Obviously, you will also lose the VONE server, thus will not even be notified by VONE alarms about the issue with the host. Thus, having VONE running on an independent server is a more reliable approach.

Thanks
