Migrate to v6

Hi,

Is it possible to migrate already created Reports and Monitor history, or are they lost during the reinstall?

Can the new versions use the existing database, or does it have to start fresh?

Hi Dave,

Historical performance data will be retrieved from vCenter Server, this happens by default when you configure your first collection job in v6. As to the reports, then due to the huge architectural changes (all three products have been merged into a single solution), you should re-create your custom reports.

Our new version cannot re-use previous databases, because starting from v6 all three components are sharing the same single database.
