missing access security
Hello,
I have an issue with the access to the VeeamOne site (VeamReporter/dashboard or Reports) port 1239.
When I log in to the server and any user try to access the sites this is working.
when they log in to the server and try to access the site it is failing.
Everybody is local admin on the server.
where is this security I missed?
Thanks,
DOm

Hi Dominique,
Have you added other users into any of Veeam ONE security groups on Veeam ONE Server? Please refer to Veeam ONE v6.5 Deployment Guide (page 42) for more details on this matter.

Not sure I fully understand what you say here. Can you please clarify? When are you able to successfully access the website?felyjos wrote:When I log in to the server and any user try to access the sites this is working.

Do they see a Login/Password request window while opening a Veeam ONE Reporter web page?

Hi Vitaly,Vitaliy S. wrote: Not sure I fully understand what you say here. Can you please clarify? When are you able to successfully access the website?
I RDP to the server with my Active Directory account "dominique" and any user (e.g.: smith) is lauching the Veeam One Reporter they are asked for credentials, they input their own "smith" and they get the site.
Any other user "smith" (except me) RDP to the server with their Active Directory account "smith" and any user is lauching the Veeam One Reporter they are asked for credentials, they input their own "smith" and they fail the site. cannot find the page.
Thanks,
Dom

Yes they enter in both case their own login 'SMITH", the difference is the RDP login to the server or when done through the web page the login to the desktop.Vitaliy.Mzokov wrote:Do they see a Login/Password request window while opening a Veeam ONE Reporter web page?

What if Mr.SMITH will try to open the web page from any other machine within your network infrastructure? What will he will then?

Re: missing access security
if the login to the machine (desktop or server) is not mine they can't get the site... even if they log in I could not get the site anymore... it seems something in front of Veeam Reporter itself... IIS, Windows ... I don't know
Thanks,
DOm

Re: missing access security
Dom,
Got it. Pretty looks like IIS security related issue. Can you show us this behavior on a remote session? Please open a support case on Customer Portal, so we can look deeper into that.
Meanwhile, as an additional troubleshooting step, you may consider installing Veeam ONE in Advanced mode (with Web UI components enabled only) onto any other machine but utilizing the same (old one) database. An installation wizard will deploy the Web Site role on that machine with all the necessary components which are required for proper Veeam ONE operation.

Great. Are you adding your domain user accounts into Veeam ONE security groups or you're adding some domain security groups instead?felyjos wrote:Interresting I found another user which is able to access the site so I think the first group is getting some other issues

Re: missing access security
Vitaly,
Let me check the feasibility (time wise) as I have SCOM, SCCM, FCS, VEEAM Dashboards and Reporters .... I am quite busy... with some operational issues as well. BTW where do I see the location of the database Veeam Reporter I am using? I saw several of them as they might have been some test installed as well.
Thanks,
Dom

To check the SQL Server and database settings uses you'll need to launch Veeam ONE Settings utility located here:felyjos wrote:BTW where do I see the location of the database Veeam Reporter I am using?
Code: Select all
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Veeam\Veeam ONE Settings\VeeamOneSettings.exe
