[VeeamOne] Modern SSO plans

Post by benthomas » 1 person likes this post

Hi all,

Just wondering if there are any plans to enable modern SSO like SAML or OIDC in VeeamOne? Especially the Web reporting.
We'd like to remove VeeamOne from the domain, but doing so would mean all accounts would need to be maintained on the VeeamOne server which isn't ideal either.
Introducing SSO like SAML/OIDC would also enable us to enforce MFA through those services as well.

Hello Ben,
A very comprehensive SSO and RBAC functionality are in the plans currently under investigation. Aimed on high security and perfect for Large Enterprises and Service Providers.

We could not address it for v13, but surely our goal is to release it at some point after next release.

Thank you so much!

Hey Jorge,

Good to hear this is being thought about already, given the VeeamOne server has highly priviledged accounts across the Veeam and virtualised environments, it's great to look at getting this off the domain and maintaining SSO for Ops to access it still.
If it helps, I think even just SSO initially with current limited roles would be fine. Improved RBAC would be great as a follow up to that

I would love to see this incorporated into VONE for sure, so I'm adding my +1 to this one.
