Patch 1 Issues

Post by lennis40 » 1 person likes this post

After installing Patch 1, my connection from local Veeam ONE monitor on laptop, and Veeam ONE consoles from VO server are broken. Nothing has changed other than the patch, and I have opened a support case. 00820394

HI,
Same issue Here.
I m using evaluation mode.

Veeam monitor client Works on Veeam One server but doesn't on client side.
Startup is stuck at "Connecting to service..." for a long time before failing with the error:
"Veeam ONE Monitor Client cannot connect to Veeam ONE Monitor Server"

Already checked KB1580 without success.

It's not a connectivity issue between the remote client and the server.

Hi, same issue here.
After installing Patch 1 of Veeam One, I get an error in Veeam One, "Topology collection failure. One Veeam Monitor server infrastructure failed to collect topology".

@rurouni did you install patch 1 on the remote machine as well? Please be aware that this patch should be deployed on Monitor Client and ONE Server.

Veeam One was working fine WITHOUT Patch 1

After installing Patch1 VeeamOne Monitor Client can only connect to the Server locally.

All Network Clients : Monitor Client failed to connect to Monitor Server.....

What is wrong on with Patch 1 ?

Yep ;) In our next major update we are thinking about updating all Monitor Clients automatically, once they connect to Veeam ONE server (similar to what vSphere Client does, when it connects to a new version of vCenter Server).

Hi,

Since i have patched "Veeam One" (both server and remote client) my remote client can't join the server Veeam one.

I have this message: "Can't connect to Veeam one Monitor server specified in Option client setting"

There is a solution for this problem or i have to wait for a new patch.

Thanks.

"Me too."

Patched mine Monday, and of course, I come in to work with people complaining that servers are down - Looks like disk latency, but here I am going back to the old methods of troubleshooting SAN performance while I re-install "non-patch-1."

Steve, can you please tell me what problem do you have (unfortunately, it is not possible to understand the issue from your post)? In this topic there are three different issues described, and one of them should be resolved by installing this patch to every Monitor Client.

I have the "Monitor Client failed to connect to Monitor Server" issue. Rolled back to an unpatched copy of my monitoring system for the moment (server and client on same machine - patch was run once.)

Is there a fix for this issue yet?

I have just installed Veeam One 8 patch 1 (on both client and server) and now cannot connect to the monitor service. The Business and Reporter services seem to be fine.

Cheers

Same issue on a brand new VeeamOne Server v8 + Patch1.

Case 00887212.

The Monitor Client can't connect (and was never able to connect).

The client is installed on the server itself.

The issue is so big ??! :-)

The server is in another branch of the company, I have to test anything they run. There's no way to repair the current setup ?

No, it's not, but we have decided to include this in the update 2 which will have full support for vSphere 6 including performance and configuration data collection from vVols. To repair the setup, just install the update or ask for a private hotfix from support ;)

Yes, this behavior can only be seen under certain conditions. Good to know that our update 2 has helped.
