PLEASE HELP! Grouping by Folder Name

Post by marc0castr0 »

Hi all,
I am new to veeam one. We purchased it just recently and I really need some help configuring this...
In an effort to keep it simple. I'd like to create a business view showing specific vcenter folders.

For example the below are our folder names in which we like to have a view for
* AD
* DNS
* LYNC
* BOS
* PORTAL
* ETC
* ETC

I would greatly appreciate if someone would help me out!

Thank you kindly.

Hello Marco,

For that you purpose, you can create a category and number of groups with desired names/parameters.
Then you can add infrastructure objects to the created categories/groups.
For categories/groups creation, go to Veeam ONE Business View > Configuration > Categories.

Is that what you are looking for?
Thanks.

If you want to group your VMs based on the folders location, then you can use categorization rules and static groups.

Marco, you can either do it manually in a "Workspace" tab or apply a categorization rule to add desired VMs to the group.
