Hi all,
Quick question; We are getting started with Veeam, and are prepping for VeeamOne. We deployed out VBR server on a non domain joined server. I am curious if there are any benefits to doing the same with the server where we install VeeamOne? Or does it matter much either way?
Thanks!

Re: Question on deploying VeeamOne
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
The idea of having the VBR server standalone (not domain-joined) is to protect it in environments where customers cannot ensure active directory security. As VeeamONE does not have the function of an "insurance" (it's "only" monitoring), I would see more disadvantages than advantages. So I would join the ONE server to the domain.
Just to have it comfortable technically, both works fine.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Question on deploying VeeamOne
Thanks for the feedback Hannes;
I was thinking the same thing - it might be more comfortable to have the VeeamOne server be domain joined - but figured I would ask.
I also noticed that my colleague was starting to deploy VeeamOne v10, but our VBR is running 9.5u4... should this work out ok?
Thanks,
~D

Re: Question on deploying VeeamOne
Hello NerfHerder,
Yes, that is the recommended approach to the upgrade: ONE first, Enterprise Manager second, then B&R. There are no compatibility issues between ONE v10 and B&R 9.5U4.
Thanks
