Hi everyone,
I am running Veeam One 9.5.0.3254 server on the same machine as Backup & Replication server 9.5.0.1536 (Update 3) -- it does work but is it a best practice approach?
Or does Veeam recommend running those 2 products on separate boxes?
Thanks
~B

Re: Running Veeam ONE on the same machine as 9.5.0.1536 (Upd
Hi Boyan,
It is recommended to install them on separate machines. However if the virtual and backup infrastructures are not big and machine hosting Veeam ONE and VBR has enough resources both applications may work with no issues.
If you don't have a spare machine, keep monitoring the machine's performance.
Thanks!

Thanks Shestakov - the machine has plenty of resources; ton of RAM and so far both products are using just a tiny bit of resources so as long as there isn't any specific recommendation (and it looks like there isn't) not to run them both on the same server I will keep an eye and call it a day. In terms of performance both products perform just fine; I haven't observed any sluggishness etc
Thank you

Good to know both products work fine. As I said it is recommended to install the servers separately, but in practice they can work fine on the same machine.
Make sure you have backup proxies for your backup jobs to shift the load to it from the backup server.
Thanks!
