Veeam One - Dump Configuration reports the source
Hello,
I am using VMware tags to probe the VM I need to backup.
As an internal compliance report I need to get an inventory of the tags that are probed by my Veeam Backup Jobs.
Any idea ?
I tried to have this Info through the default report "Job Configuration Dump" but this info doesn't not appear.
Thanks,
James

Hi James,
How do you create vSphere tags? Do you just need to create a report with all vSphere tags created by 3rd party tools?
Thanks!

Hello,
when creating a VM we assign to it a VMware tag through prowershell. Our Backup Jobs probed all VM that have a specified Tag.
I need have a report showing how are configured my Backup job including which VMware tags they are probing.
Please find below the PowerShell cmdlet we use :
$Tag = Get-Tag -Category Backup -Name $TagValue
New-TagAssignment -Tag $Tag -Entity $vmToChange
Thanks

James,
I see, what is the output of Job configuration dump report when using Tags? What is selected as a source in your case?
Thanks!

Hello James,
Yes, we were trying to find this section in your report shared with Vitaliy, but couldn't do it. Used tags can be found in the unidentified section right now. It`s same for v9 and v9.5. We will try to make it more obvious in our next updates!
Please also note that the "VirtualMachines" field may contain not only tags, but VM, hosts names etc.
Thanks!
