I'd like to deploy my temporary veeam one paidlicence to the server but cannot see how.

thanks, but it takes me to enterprise manager and then fails with 'licence is not installed'

Could you clarify what do you mean by "it takes me to enterprise manage"?
Did you press "Install License.." and uploaded a .lic file in Veeam One Monitor Help>License information?
By the way, have you contacted Veeam technical support?
