Veeam One report Listed by Backup Job with VM including what datastores the VM's on

Post by darbronnoco »

I am looking to create a report to help me position my my VM's for Storage Snapshot based backups and replication. I can't find a good way to list my jobs (We use VM tags to group machines into jobs) and have the VM's and datastores listed. I also think it would be nice to have better reporting on storage snapshot based backups.

Hello Brad,
Are these jobs Snapshot-only, like using NetApp/HPE, etc? Would you also mind to explain a bit more on the title of the question? What current report you are using, and you would like to see this type of protection please?

Thank you

Well, I am preparing to leverage Veeams ability to orchestrate the Pure storage snaps and replicate them. So one report that would be nice to include is the Snapshots jobs and the vm's protected, number of snaps available and if possible even the location of the snaps so we can see if its a replicated snap or not.

The other report I was trying to pull together was a report by job listing the VM's in that job with the vm details mainly the datastore it resides on. I was able to pull this with powercli using the tags but it would be a nice function in veeam one. This would allow me to better group VM's for the storage snaps that are replicated so I don't replicate unnecessary data.

Hello Brad, would you mind sharing a bit of the expected output you got from PS?

Regarding Storage Snapshot visibility, that is something we are considering to add in the future as well, but we do not know on what release.

Thank you
