Veeam ONE v12 increasing memory usage every day

Post by dali@iae.nl »

Since v12 I see a steady increasing usage of memory on the Veeam ONE Server. After a reboot 5GB which steady grows in 3 days to 12GB.
Saw this last week, rebooted but same view.
Do others also see this?

Hello Da Li,
Have you added VB365 to your environment, or is it the same environment as it was before? Do you have SQL Server on the same box?

Perhaps you can take a look at the System Requirements table:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/one/d ... ml?ver=120

I have seen a little increase after adding VB365, but nothing major:

Can you run a Veeam ONE Report from the VONE Server, perhaps if virtual? That will show it clearly the trend over months. Thanks for the support case, let's see what the engineers can see looking at the logs.

Thanks!

Not added VB365 yet.
SQL is on a separate server.
Nothing else changed then the upgrade to v12.
Last months just running fine on v11 with 5 to 6 GB memory.
Form v12 the memory grows steady every day.

We are also seeing memory issues with VeeamDCS.exe and created case 07001857 for it. Environment hasn't changed since V11 and we saw up to 13GB of usage for VeeamDCS.exe before restarting the service.

Same here with my VEEAM ONE Installation, the Systems to monitor has not changed over the last year, since the Update to the current Version, I have to upgrade the Server Memory once in a week:
Veeam Data Collector Service is filling up the Server Memory (up to 7.195,5 MB) total 16 GB (upgraded vom 8 to 12 to 16 GB)
Thank you for further investigations.
Kind Regards,
Markus

Hello, just for information : I did a fresh install of the Veeam One V12, and I have the same problem (even with 32Go RAM).

I am having the same or a similar issue. VeeamDCS.exe taking all available RAM on a 32GB server, SQL separated out, and no M365 backup servers added.

I have created case #07002301 for this.

We need to upgrade to v12, is this still an issue or has it been fixed?

Hello Mark,
We are still in the process of analyzing the potential issue. We do not see it across all environments, so at the moment it is early to come to any conclusion.

As soon as we know more, will share it here.

Hello,
For all of you that have been affected, please reach out to support, and obtain the Hotfix as soon as you can (in case they have not share that with you yet). You will see the RAM consumption behaving as it should be.

Thanks a lot for your patience.

Will there be a new update released soon rather than a hotfix?
