Veeam Reporter Scheduling!!

Post by felyjos »

Hello,

I was using for example the VM Backup Status report from the templates after I installed VeeamOne 6.5 on 8/19/2013.
Scope: Infrastructure
Reporting Period: 8/19/2013 - 8/25/2013
Group By: Backup Job
then
Save as report
Name: xxxx - VeeamBackupStatus
Folder: VeeamBackup

then(8/19/2013) I am scheduling the report:
Schedule on: everyday at 6:15 a.m.
Recipient: myself@company.edu

I just noticed (I was on vacation  ) it is sending the same report every day without changing the "Reporting Period" day to day ...
e.g.: I was expecting:
on 8/25/2013 it is sending the report for the period 8/19/2013 - 8/25/2013
on 8/26/2013 it is sending the report for the period 8/20/2013 - 8/26/2013
....
on 9/18/2013 it is sending the report for the period 9/12/2013 - 9/18/2013
etc...

if the period is not changed except manually why having a schedule?
what did I miss?

Thanks,
Dom

Hi Dom,

You can set a different reporting interval, for example past week or past N weeks, to receive up-to-date information about backup status of your VMs.

Thanks!

Hi Vitaly,

But this means I need to create a different report every day ... I wnat to get the VeeamBackup report on a daily basis for one day or one week back...
This seems to be heavy ...
There are other reports like VM Oversized with Interval 1 week or Protected VMs RPO 1 week... why not for VM Backup Status?

Thanks,
Dom

You do not need to do that, just set "current week" as a parameter, save this report and schedule it to be delivered every day. In this case you will have only 1 report saved, but it will be updated every time new backup data arrives.

Does "current week" exist in 6.5?
Reporting Period field is just showing me a calendar with specific dates

Seems like it is the right time to upgrade your Veeam ONE installation to version 7 ;)
