Veeam Threat Center - Immutability not displayed

Post by dali@iae.nl »

In the Veeam ONE Web Client, on the Threat Center we see a 0% Backup Immutability Status.
But we use Exagrid dedpulication appliances and there the Time-Lock option is set to 10 days. This Time-Lock is the Exagrid name for immutability.
Are there any plans to read the Time-Lock parameter from the Exagrid so it can show as a Immutability Status on the Threat Center?

Hello Da Li,

Veeam ONE cannot collect Time-Lock for ExaGrid property because it does not exist in the data source. As soon as VBR returns this property we will be able to collect and show it everywhere in the Veeam ONE.

I already pinged the responsible PM about that topic. Thanks for pointing this out.

Hi Da Li, as Roman has mentioned, this comes down to general support for Time-Lock in Veeam B&R which is currently not there. Thanks!

Hello Da Li,
I have seen that ExaGrid has announced Object Storage, and it is Veeam Ready! Meaning that you can now leverage all the beauty of ExaGrid landing zone, plus the dedupe zone, automatically on your appliances:
https://www.exagrid.com/media/press-rel ... amon-2024/

Please discuss with your ExaGrid counterparts, to see how you can enable this. In terms of migrating Veeam jobs from one repository to another, it is very easy https://community.veeam.com/blogs-and-p ... ories-4003 But if you have any doubt after your new ExaGrid object storage is created, you can always contact support.

Thank you so much!

Thanks for the replies, all good news.
But I guess you need an amount of free space to move/convert existing Repositories to a new Repository.

Hello Da Li,
I can not say for certain, better to reach out to ExaGrid team for them to advise on the best way to move from one repo type to another, I am sure they will start having this question more and more, so hoping they have internal tools/scripts/commands.

Please keep us posted.

Thank you!
